Dee-1

Dee-1 worked as a high school teacher in Baton Rouge prior to his retirement from teaching in order to pursue music full-time. Growing up in the same New Orleans East neighborhood as the highly successful New Orleans rapper Curren$y, Dee-1 has created a sound entirely his own. With an emphasis on positive messages in his music, Dee-1 enjoys a fan base that spans multiple demographics. He has also been produced by, and has recorded with, two of his great New Orleans idols: Mannie Fresh and Juvenile.
